A; ;{=NIDAI 3.9 is controlled by Gustav=}seemingly normal 14 year old boy. Captain Denny found him on board of his ship Lost on a trip to the planet Santos. Since they were mid-flight Denny had little choice in what to do with the boy. Denny intended to dump the boy at Santos, but Robert proved to be a quite helpful errand boy on board the ship and Denny is starting to reconsider his decision. After all, Robert asks for no pay and is cheap to feed.

There is also something rather strange about the boy, something Denny can't put his finger on. It's not just that Robert refuses to speak about his past or where he comes from. The boy seems to be well schooled in some areas, particularly computers, and utterly oblivious in other much more everyday areas. But then again, what does Denny know about 14 year old boys?

Of the crew of Lost, Robert is very fond of both Captain Denny and Jemma. The Captain helped him out when Robert was on the run and didn't tell anyone he had a runaway boy on board, something that surely would have sent Robert back to the Alliance with all that that would entail for Robert. Jemma seems to have a soft spot for Robert and keep sneaking away sweets for him and sometimes extra rations of food, smilingly saying that boys need food to grow big and strong. Jay Sikes on the other hand seems to always have something to complain about when it comes to Robert. Robert doesn't have anything personal against Jay, but finds his constant nagging about how Robert doesn't bring anything useful to the crew annoying. Many times Robert has been on the verge of dropping his low-profile and show the old drunk what he really can do, but so far Robert has been disciplined enough to know better.
