To ease the boredom that is the country and small towns, some friends and I started playing Role-Playing Games. We played a Swedish version of Dungeons And Dragons called Drakar och Demoner.
DnD was fun when I was a child, and it firmly cemented RPG as a permanent hobby in my life, but as we grew older my friends stopped playing. This ushered a long period of RPG drought where I, not by choice, had to give up my hobby due to a lack of co-players.
When I was 18 or 19 years old I moved to Malmö where I was introduced to White Wolf. I immediately fell in love with the modern day horror theme of RPG and I bought and read more WW books than I care to reflect upon.
In Malmö and later in London I did find a few RPG groups and I played a few games here and there, but I was never really happy with the style of playing in those groups. Either they were large noisy pubs where a handful of different games tried to compete for the decibells and I never seemed to be able to hold on to a game for more than a few sessions before either people started to not show up or I grew bored of the game.
Then finally, after four years of searching, June 2006, I managed to find a really good RPG group, LoST. We have been meeting regularly since then, once or twice a week. They have all turned out to be great friends. Hell, me and Richard used to be flatmates, and when he moved out, Padraig and Imogen moved in!
I ran Noble Deeds and The End.
