R;ipper; is a Street Shaman, and serves as the groups physical recon and magical combatant.

Originally of Emerald Isle heritage, Ripper Jack has lived in London all his life, his Irish grandparents were part of the exodus when Ireland became racially elitist. Although his parents John and Nora still hark on about the hardship and inequality of moving to a new country during very troubled times, they weren't that badly off.

Growing up in Whitechapel and being of lower middle class, he hung out around the poorer parts of London. His parents never truly understood his generation but love him all the same. Not wanting to show any 'oppression' on his spirit, he became more and more enamoured with the deluded 'romanticism' of Shadow-running.

Seeing himself as a hired gun, he tried his hand at minor hoodlum jobs. Being 15 years old at the time, to gangs he was just more cannon fodder. By this stage he was no longer living at home and had a new life living on the street. Slumming it made life difficult and in desperation he took a risky job. Although he escaped unharmed, a childhood friend, Peter Bishop a fellow team member on the 'run', got hit and paralyzed. He then saw his friend Peter to safety. Although he doesn't fully understand what happened, Ripper is still confused by the events that night. He thought he was being hit by the spell that crippled Peter, he put up his arms in defence... there was a flash and when he look around, Peter was lying paralyzed on the ground screaming. The bastard who hired them for the run was a guy named Marco Ross. Knowing Marco fucked the run up by saving his own skin while the other were hit bad has given Ripper a grudge against him. He keeps his ears open for any activity involving Marco. Jack knows that he runs risky jobs and steers clear. Ripper now makes sure not to go into a job again without knowing the risks as much as possible.

This experience pushed both of them away from shadow-running for a while. In this time, he reconciled with his parents after having being gone for a few years. He read up on his Celtic heritage & history so as to get a better understanding going between them. Then Jack took to working with a black market Talismonger Nigel Findley. This at least kept him in a modest and less risky lifestyle and gave him a trade.

Over the following months, his shamanistic abilities awakened. His Mentor Spirit was in the form of a Wolf `- being the Celtic goddess Morrigan. Although The Morrigan is a terrifying goddess of war and death on the battlefield, she is also connected to fertility and the land. Through Ripper, the land is his cityscape and the battle is surviving the gangs and shadow-running. The Morrigan is powerful in this new age of the Earth. She started his schooling as a Street Shaman. Soon he was able to access many new abilities. This helped his training in Talismongery and saved his skin when deals went slightly sour. Knowing that magic users need to be registered, he is a SINer but has a fake sin he uses when out on jobs. He has stepped back into Shadow-running to make a better life for himself. So far it has been successful. His earlier use of guns adds to his versatility when things get hairy. Now that he is self sufficient he has finished his apprenticeship of sorts with Nigel and is a free agent when it comes to talisman supplies and free trading in the market.

Recently he has been meditating and developing a Heal spell. Jack hopes to use this new spell to help Peter (Wheels). Although he isn't sure if he is powerful enough to undo the damage done to his good friend.
