T;ed; is a grizzled ex-cop, mid-50s, who takes a cynical view of the world. He served in the army where he learned to use various weapons. Served in the policeforce only to be made redundant as the Corporation security forces became more predominant. As such he holds a grudge against just about everybody.

Like many policemen he is stupid, racist and stubborn, however, his grim determination and pigheaded attitude have got him out of many tight squeezes.

Ted shuns cyberware and any unnatural enhancements. If a bullet has his name on it he will quite happily accept that fate.

He has few friends, although he does have a complete family: two children who hate his guts and an ex-wife (Valerie) who also hates his guts. But sometimes sleeps with him because they are both lonely. She works for the Lord Protectors office.

His ex-partner, Bill Simpson, who still works on the force, is his closest friend and he would generally do anything for him, although would never admit having to rely on someone for emotional support.

There is also a friend from childhood, Norris Edmunds, who is a successful Lawyer. There is some resentment on Ted's part for this success but Edmunds will usually help him out if he's in a bind.
